Rural Reconstruction Nepal (RRN) is a Nepalese non-governmental development organisation working in the areas of integrated rural community development, enhance livelihoods of poor and marginalized communities and promote human rights, peacebuilding and social justice, having the strategic focus on protecting and promoting economic, social and cultural rights and right to development. We also work extensively on right based approach to educate and empower adolescents, girls, children and women, quality education, natural resource management, disaster management and climate change adaptation and mitigation activities. Its major interventions are directed towards poor, vulnerable and marginalized groups of people in rural and deprived areas.
RRN is currently looking for a competent, committed, result-oriented and highly motivated candidate to fill the following positions for a human rights project-“Right Based Education to Dalit and Marginalized Adolescent Girls and Children in Nepal (Girls SAMVAD Programme)”funded European Union (EU), Nepal to be based at Field office to look after the project activities of Bara and Parsa districts with frequent visits to the project locations and outside districts.The major roles and responsibilities of the incumbent are to ensure overall planning and timely implementation of Girls SAMVAD-Programme by engaging the local partners to fulfill overall objective is to “contribute towards fulfilling rights of the girls and children, and materialization of National Strategy to End Child Marriage and National Framework on Child Friendly Schools in the changed federal context of Nepal”. The project has main two specific objectives viz. i) “Reduce vulnerability of adolescent girls on child marriage, violence, trafficking and other malpractices through SAMVAD approach” ii) “Promote the child-friendly environment for adolescent girls and children with special needs”focusing on achievement of the project results as described in the project document. S/he also requires undertaking other relevant tasks as required by the project in a team approach including monitoring and preparation of the project reports.

Duty Station: A Field Office (Look to Bara and Parsa)
Qualifications: Bachelor Degree (Master preferred) of Social Science and relevant disciplines with at least 4 years’ of work experience in human rights, right based approach to educating children, adolescent girls, and women empowerment related development projects.The applicants should be competent in managing and operating the project office by mobilizing the staff, skill on PRA tools, analyzing the database,reviewing and assessing the community needs, campaigning for social change, skills on advocacy and social campaign, coordination and collaboration with local government and stakeholders, result based reporting, strategic to sustain outcomes for long run in the community and English with good report writing skills.
Job Title: SAMVAD Officers (2)
Duty Station: A Field Office (Bara & Parsa)
Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor Degree of Social Science and relevant disciplines with at least 2 years’ of work experience in human rights, right based approach to educating children, adolescent girls, and women empowerment related development projects. The applicants should be competent in community-based planning, training, project activities implementation and monitoring and evaluation of project results by PRA tools and empowerment related skills such as life skill, facilitation skill and mobilization of staff and animators. Database management with good skill on excel operation, skill on advocacy and social campaign and English with good report writing skills.
