Job Summary:

We are seeking a strategic and data-driven Product Manager to own the end-to-end lifecycle of our flagship Snowman Camera (Indoor). This role is responsible for driving the product’s vision, strategy, and execution in the market. The ideal candidate will bridge the technical, business, and user experience domains to enhance product value, achieve business objectives, and solidify our leadership in the IP camera space, particularly within our core market of Nepal.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Product Strategy & Roadmapping:

  • Develop and maintain a clear product vision and a data-driven roadmap for the Snowman Camera (Indoor) product line.
  • Conduct continuous market analysis, including competitor benchmarking and customer feedback synthesis, to identify new opportunities and threats.
  • Define and track key product performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, customer satisfaction, feature adoption, and support ticket volume.

B. Feature Definition & Lifecycle Management:

  • Translate market needs and business goals into detailed product requirements (PRDs) and user stories for the engineering team.
  • Prioritize the product backlog based on strategic value, customer impact, and resource constraints.
  • Lead the end-to-end feature development process, from concept and design to launch, adoption, and iteration.
  • Manage the entire product lifecycle, including plans for end-of-life (EOL) when necessary.

C. Go-to-Market & Commercial Performance:

  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Support teams to develop effective go-to-market (GTM) strategies and ensure successful product launches.
  • Analyze product performance and profitability, making recommendations for pricing, promotions, and bundling.
  • Act as the primary product evangelist, internally and externally.

D. Cross-Functional Leadership:

  • Serve as the central point of communication and alignment between Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Support, and Cloud teams.
  • Work closely with hardware and software engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and deliver high-quality products on schedule.

Key Focus Areas (Derived from Product Specs):

The Product Manager will be specifically responsible for maximizing the value of the Snowman Camera’s core features:

  • AI Detection: Drive the roadmap for AI features (e.g., person/package/vehicle detection) to reduce false alarms and provide smarter security.
  • Cloud Recording: Develop and refine the cloud storage strategy, including pricing tiers, retention policies, and feature differentiation.
  • User Experience & Mobile App: Ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience, from unboxing and setup to daily use via the mobile app.
  • Technical Performance: Champion improvements in video quality (H.265+ efficiency), low-light performance, and network stability.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager, preferably with IoT, consumer electronics, or hardware/software integrated products.
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
  • Strong technical acumen with an understanding of embedded systems, video compression (H.264/H.265), and networking.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.

Performance Metrics:

Success in this role will be measured by:

  • Achievement of product-specific KPIs (Revenue, Units Sold, Market Share).
  • Customer Satisfaction (NPS/CSAT) and Product Review Scores.
  • On-time delivery of product roadmap milestones.
  • Successful adoption rate of new features.
