Aasaman Nepal is implementing SRHR and Gender equality/Empowered Women Prosperous Nepal (EWPN) including ending child marriage and harmful practices Programs in Madhesh Province in the partnership with UNFPA.

The overarching objectives of the programs are to enhance reproductive health outcomes, eliminate gender-based violence, empower women economically and socially, and reduce child marriage. The integrated approach aims to provide comprehensive reproductive health services, promote gender equity, facilitate women’s economic empowerment through skill development and entrepreneurship, and contribute to the global effort of ending child marriage. The program collectively strives to create a society where individuals, particularly women and adolescents, have the knowledge, resources, and opportunities to make informed decisions about their health, well-being, and future. Aasaman Nepal is looking for the self-motivated, result oriented and hard-working Nepali citizen for the following position:

Entrepreneurship Development facilitator – Nos: One (Based in Saptari District)

The Entrepreneurship Development facilitator will support to provide basic career counseling and tailored business development counselling and guidance to GBV survivors, other beneficiaries of the program and the GBV Service providers supported under the UNFPA-EWPN program. The facilitator will guide, mentor, and support beneficiaries through continuous career counseling and guidance, business development coaching, monitoring, effective utilization of seed funds, and sustainable economic empowerment with a survivor-centered and gender-responsive approach.

Objective

To support survivors and project beneficiaries in planning, launching, and strengthening profitable and sustainable enterprises through career guidance and counselling, coaching, monitoring of seed fund utilization, employment enrollment and facilitation of market and service linkages.

Scope of Work

The Entrepreneurship Development facilitator will work closely with survivors at the field level, and provide continuous career counseling and guidance, business development coaching, monitoring, and coordination with relevant stakeholders to ensure sustainable business outcomes. This Role will also closely coordinate with Business Coach deployed within EWPN program and other relevant partners of EWPN, Employment Service Centres, Enterprise development facilitators of local government and other relevant service providers.

Key Responsibilities

Career Guidance and Counselling

  • Provide one to one and group based career guidance and counselling sessions to GBV survivors (in close coordination with the service providers and counselors), focusing on self assessment, career exploration, informed decision making and realistic livelihood planning.
  • Support survivors to identify suitable livelihood pathways, including wage employment, skills training, apprenticeships, entrepreneurship (through referrals) or further education.
  • Develop individualized career action plans in collaboration with survivors that are to be aligned with safety considerations and survivor preferences.
  • Offer mentoring and motivational support throughout the program period in regards to shaping their career interest in selection of any entrepreneurship or employment
  • Link with available employment and self-employment supports through information sharing and needful coordination.

Capacity Building of GBV Service Providers

  • Deliver basic training sessions for GBV service providers, including safe house staff, on foundational career guidance and counselling skills.
  • Develop simple tools, guidance notes and referral checklists to support survivors/frontline workers on GBV in providing basic career counselling.
  • Coordinate with local stakeholders and support agencies.

Coordination and Referral

  • Coordinate with other EWPN PUNOs expertise to ensure seamless referrals for survivors opting for enterprise development support.
  • Establish and maintain referral linkages with vocational training providers, employers, cooperatives, education institutions, and government livelihood program.
  • Work closely with program staff to integrate career guidance within GBV response and economic empowerment services.
  • Closely coordinate with Business Development Counsellor and other relevant partners of EWPN, Employment Service Centers, Enterprise development facilitators of local government and other relevant service providers for mapping of available opportunities (wage employment, skill training, start-up supports, etc.) and referral.

Monitoring, Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of career guidance sessions, referrals made, training conducted and follow up outcomes.
  • Track survivor progress along selected livelihood pathways and provide follow up support as needed.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and final reports highlighting activities, outcomes, challenges, lessons learned, and success stories.
  • Support documentation of case studies, best practices, and learning materials for program knowledge sharing.

Other Responsibilities

  • Uphold survivor center, gender responsive, and do no harm principles in all interventions.
  • Perform other duties of a similar level as assigned by Aasaman Nepal and the Project Team.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Intermediate level qualification, preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Economics, or a related field; NSTB-certified Enterprise Development Facilitator (EDF) Level 2 or 3 will be considered an added advantage.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in business development support, enterprise facilitation, market linkage, and business plan preparation.
  • Experience working with rural women, survivors, or marginalized communities is highly preferred.
  • Good understanding of gender-responsive business development and survivor-centered support approaches.
  • Strong communication, counselling, networking, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in English with good digital literacy skills, candidates speaking the local language will be an advantage.
  • Two-wheeler license required

Reporting Line: Direct Report to: Program Coordinator-EWPN and GBV officer

Duty Station and Travel: Based at the Saptari District with frequent field visits to beneficiary locations under EWPN program. Close coordination with EWPN all funding partners.

Duration: Five months Period (February 2026 to June 2026) with possibility of extension based of funds available.

Languages: Strong command of Nepali, English, Maithili, Bhojpuri (oral and written) and local language preferred/required.

Also, immediate reporting and redress of any complaints and issues based on its severity.
