Position: Livelihoods Project Officer
Our Sansar is looking for Livelihoods Project Officer to join our End to Child Labour Programme team in Rautahat as our project is expanding.
Role Description:
We are looking for Livelihoods Project Officer to join as soon as possible in Rautahat. He/she will oversee training and income generation activities for the parents. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds who have transferable skills – this could be education, training, agriculture, social enterprise, community outreach.
Responsibilities:
- Organise monthly parents meetings
- Assist with community training sessions
- Ensure all families receive literacy and vocation training and are then set up with income generation activities
- Monitor the income generation activities
- Perform skill assessment of the parents to ensure that the training aligns with their interests, market needs and abilities
- Prepare monthly progress reports
- Prepare monthly cashbooks and budgets
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work independently
- Experience in education, training, social enterprise or other relevant sectors
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills
- Experience working with children/communities from different backgrounds will be a big advantage
- Solid working knowledge of written and spoken English
- Good IT skills – Excel, Word, Google Drive
- Passion for charity work
- Flexibility
Starting salary 25,000Rs (to be reviewed after the probation period), accommodation, health insurance provided. There will be opportunities to grow within the organisation for the right candidates.
