Position: Field Coordinator/Facilitator
Location: All seven provinces
Duration: 6 months with possibility of extension
Inclusion Economics Nepal is an initiative affiliated with Inclusion Economics at Yale University, founded and based out of the Yale Economic Growth Center and MacMillan Center. Inclusion Economics Nepal is based at, and accountable to, Nepal’s Governance Lab at the Daayitwa Abhiyaan. Inclusion Economics Nepal collaborates with researchers at the Inclusion Economics at Yale University (YIE) team and the London School of Economics (LSE) to enable inclusive economies and societies through research and policy engagement.
Advancing Women’s Political Representation in Nepal Through Cross-Party Networks is a project that strengthens networks of women politicians across Nepal’s municipalities to enhance their political influence, foster solidarity, and advance meaningful representation in local governance.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Field Coordinator/Facilitator will lead women’s network meetings and manage field-level program delivery across Nepal. This role combines hands-on facilitation with operational coordination, requiring strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and knowledge of Nepal’s political landscape.
Key responsibilities include facilitating discussions among women political aspirants to foster peer learning, build solidarity, and develop political networks. The facilitator will track participant attendance and engagement, and ensure program continuity across six to eight sessions from May 2026 to early 2027. Sessions will be conducted in Nepali and local languages, and the role involves navigating logistical challenges across diverse regions.
Specific roles include:
- Lead and guide all discussions, activities, and exercises across 6 to 8 network meetings in a professional format.
- Liaise with participants, local vendors, service providers, program managers, and local institutions to ensure the smooth implementation of the women’s network meetings.
- Maintain proper records of the networking sessions, key discussion points, barriers, strategies, and participant contributions manually and digitally.
- Ensure the sessions are conducted successfully and professionally while meeting institutional objectives.
- Plan and prepare any logistical setup in close coordination with the Research Manager.
- Communicate proactively with program management on attendance trends, participant needs, and curriculum feedback.
Basic Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related discipline.
- Female applicants based in different provinces and geographical belts across the region are specifically encouraged to apply.
- Proven ability to coordinate events and manage logistical arrangements efficiently.
- Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace tools.
- Proactive with excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to communicate in language/s other than Nepali will be an added advantage.
- Strong organizational and time-management capabilities, with attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare reports in accordance with program requirements.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work in field settings, including rural parts of Nepal.
- Strong knowledge of Nepal’s political and social frameworks.
- Prior experience in event coordination, community engagement, or related initiatives is desirable.
Additional information
Compensation: Governance Lab will provide compensation on a monthly rate basis. The rate will be mutually agreed upon, commensurate with the level of the required deliverables, the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
