Nepal Public Health Institute Private Limited is a registered consulting company in Nepal committed to advancing public health through research, capacity building, digital health innovations, policy support, and knowledge management. As part of its digital transformation initiative, NPHI is developing an online learning and knowledge management platform using WordPress and LearnPress to host online courses, digital resources, and professional development opportunities.

To support this initiative, NPHI seeks to engage a qualified WordPress Consultant to develop, customize, and optimize the platform.

Objective
To develop and customize a secure, scalable, and user-friendly WordPress-based Learning Management System (LMS) that meets the functional and technical requirements of Nepal Public Health Institute.

Scope of Work
The consultant shall be responsible for:

Website Development

Develop and configure a professional WordPress website.
Install and configure themes and required plugins.
Ensure responsive design for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
LearnPress LMS Development
Install and configure LearnPress.
Customize courses, lessons, quizzes, certificates, and user dashboards.
Configure instructor and student roles.
Customize LMS functionalities based on project requirements.

Plugin & Theme Customization

Customize existing WordPress themes and plugins.
Develop custom functionalities where required.
Resolve plugin conflicts and compatibility issues.
Ensure compatibility following WordPress core updates.
Performance & Security
Optimize website speed and performance.
Implement website security best practices.
Configure backup and recovery mechanisms.
Optimize database and caching.

Technical Support

Conduct testing and bug fixing.
Support deployment to the production server.
Provide technical documentation.
Provide basic training and handover to the team.
Payment integrations.

Deliverables
The consultant shall deliver:

Fully functional WordPress website.
Customised LearnPress LMS.
Responsive website compatible with major browsers.
Plugin compatibility testing and issue resolution.
Optimized website performance.
Technical documentation.
Source code and configuration files.
Knowledge transfer and technical handover.Required Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
At least 3 years of professional experience in WordPress development.
Proven experience developing WordPress-based Learning Management Systems.Essential Skills
Strong experience in WordPress development and customization.
Experience with LearnPress development and customization.
Knowledge of WordPress plugin compatibility and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
Experience in WordPress security and website performance optimization.Payment
The consultant will be paid based on the agreed daily consultancy rate and satisfactory completion of agreed deliverables, as per the contract.

Confidentiality
The consultant shall maintain the confidentiality of all information, documents, databases, source code, and other materials obtained during the assignment. No project-related information shall be shared with any third party without prior written approval from NPHI.

Intellectual Property
All outputs, including source code, databases, website designs, custom plugins, documentation, and other materials developed under this consultancy shall become the exclusive property of Nepal Public Health Institute Private Limited.
