Child Partner Officer

Position: Child Partner Officer

Office Location: Lumbini Province Cluster Team, Bardaghat, Nawalparasi West

Field Area: Kapilvastu District

The Child Partner Officer leads child partner management, communications, and administration under the Child Youth and Community for Change (CYCC) project, ensuring accurate records, quality translations, and strong field-level support for Child Partners and their communities.

Qualification and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communication, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or Rural Development.
• At least two years’ experience in a child and youth development project.
• At least two years’ experience in a child sponsorship programme, including child partner management, communications and administration, as well as experience in data recording and translation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead child partner management, communications, and administration under the CYCC project, including letter tracking, reporting, and mailings to supporters.
• Translate Child Partners’ letters between Nepali and English.
• Maintain and regularly verify Child Partner records and databases, including the NEO Connect system, to ensure accuracy and avoid duplicate or missing entries.
• Design and organise orientations, trainings, and workshops for local partner staff on child partner work, including photo-taking, letter writing, translation, as well as necessary field visits.
• Train and mobilise Child Partner Management Facilitators and provide technical support to Child Partner Management Committees (CPMCs).
• Train and support volunteers in quarterly Participatory Action Research (PAR) data collection, manage related data recording and translation, and submit transcribed field data to the researcher on time.
• Support the Project Manager–Education (CYCC) and Thematic Lead–Education as assigned.
