Department of Community Program, Dhulikhel Hospital – Kathmandu University Hospital invites applications from energetic, confident, hardworking and committed candidates to work in public health programs.

Position: Program Coordinator
Number: Few

Qualification

  • Nepalese citizen with a Master’s degree in Public Health or other related degrees from a recognized Institution.
  • Preference will be given to those who have prior experience in Health research management.

Required competencies

  • Ability to develop, implement, and manage public health programs or interventions.
  • Ability to work with national and local level stakeholders and partners to bring out results.
  •  Strong organizational skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Nepali (Verbal and written).
  •  Prior experience in training and executing quantitative and qualitative research methods.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to negotiate and work collaboratively.
  • Management skills to support teams working.
  • Ability to travel frequently to project sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement the study as per the protocol.
  •  Develop, plan, and execute public health programs and interventions that address specific health needs.
  •  Coordinate with partners for smooth project implementation.
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring that programs run smoothly and effectively.
  •  Offer guidance and support related to clinical and public health tools and technologies used in the program.
  • Support in study data management and analysis.
  • Dissemination of the information gathered (scientific manuscript writing).
  •  Engage with community organizations, healthcare facilities, and other stakeholders to support and promote program goals.
  • Prepare and timely submit donor reports.
  • Coordinate day-to-day project implementation across all study sites.
  •  Develop and monitor site-level workplans and implementation timelines.
  •  Ensure adherence to study protocols and implementation strategies.
  • Develop and update training materials, provide refresher training and ongoing mentorship.

Job Type: Fixed Term Contract
