The Assistant Manager – People & Culture plays a key role in building a development-driven, performance-oriented, and employee-focused workplace culture at eSewa. This position is responsible for designing, executing, and monitoring impactful learning programs, performance management systems, and engagement initiatives that align employee growth with organizational goals.
Qualification and Experience
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of professional HR experience. At least 2 years in Learning & Development or Performance Management leadership/coordination roles.
Job Description
Learning and Development:
- Lead the end-to-end L&D process, including needs analysis, training design, program delivery, and post-training evaluation.
- Implement the Tiered L&D Framework (Foundational, Functional, Leadership), ensuring learning paths are defined and updated for all job families.
- Coordinate quarterly learning needs assessments using performance review data, one-on-one discussions, and business KPIs.
- Introduce and manage premium external certifications, internal faculty-led sessions, and blended learning programs (virtual + in-person).
- Deploy and manage Learning Management Systems or Learning Experience Platforms with personalized recommendations in coordination with the tech domain for each employee.
- Facilitate mentorship programs, leadership development cohorts, and manager capability workshops.
- Track and report learning progress through dashboards, completion rates, and ROI analysis.
Performance Management
- Oversee the execution of the Performance Management System (PMS), ensuring quarterly goal setting, review cycles, and feedback sessions are completed on time.
- Ensure OGSM is cascaded effectively from leadership to individual employees and linked to learning and growth plans.
- Facilitate manager training on performance coaching, delivering constructive feedback, and conducting career conversations.
- Integrate completion of learning paths into performance and promotion readiness criteria.
- Monitor and address underperformance by collaborating with HRBPs to implement Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
- Maintain performance dashboards and generate reports on appraisal scores, rating trends, and growth metrics.
Employee Experience & Engagement
- Lead onboarding excellence programs, including welcome sessions, buddy systems, and engagement surveys.
- Manage ongoing employee experience initiatives such as wellness programs, mental health awareness, and psychological safety training.
- Plan and execute culture-building activities such as storytelling forums, recognition events, and value-based celebrations.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze results to address engagement gaps and reduce unwanted attrition.
- Support employer branding efforts through employee-led campaigns, referral programs, and success stories.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Supervise and mentor the team within the People & Culture department.
- Conduct regular team meetings, align OGSM, and ensure timely execution of departmental programs.
- Maintain service level agreements (SLAs) for all P&C operational activities, including recruitment, documentation, and training delivery.
- Partner with the Head-P&C to design and implement strategic initiatives under the department’s OGSM.
Required Skills
Technical Skills:
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and data dashboards
- Strong data analysis skills using MS Excel/Power BI and Google Workspace
- Instructional design and training facilitation expertise
