Position: Portfolio Officer
Job Description
Responsible for management of the assigned clients of Portfolio Management Department wherein job role encompasses – preparation of investment strategy, dealing, execution and operations related activities. The job role is focused on portfolio creation, rebalancing and day to day monitoring of the assigned clients under purview and analyzing economic, financial data and transactions on the capital market, money market and overall economy.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop Investment Strategy for different PMS products.
- Identify particular sector, companies for purchase/sell of securities for the clients.
- Prepare trade tickets for approval, execute the approved deals and verify their implementation.
- Prepare investment memo and provide recommendation to enter and exit buy/sell position.
- Stay updated with the interest rates and liquidity position. Develop and maintain relationship with financial institutions to get the best possible rates.
- Develop, Manage the Operation and execution of product specific strategies.
- Design new investment products, and financial instruments that can be implemented in the context of Nepalese Capital Market.
- Handle individual clients, communicate the different PMS provided by NMBCL.
- Initiate sales strategy for PMS.
- Identify opportunities for private equity and venture capital investments.
- Initiation, execution and follow on private deals.
- Help and provide support to other departments when required.
Expected Skills/ Experience/Knowledge
- Possesses good command over Microsoft Excel and basic working knowledge of other MS Applications.
- Possesses strong verbal & written communication, interpersonal and persuasion skills.
- Ability to perform valuation of business and interpretation of financial statements.
- Knowledge of different financial instruments and their usage in capital and money markets.
- Possesses good analytical skills.
- Ability to manage a varied workload and multiple concurrent projects
- Team player, self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook.
- Attention to detail.
Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s degree in Finance/ Management with 2 years of relevant work experience or Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience in related field. Candidates pursuing or having professional degree such as CA/ACCA/CFA will be preferred.
- Should have minimum first division or CGPA 3.00 on a scale of 4 from recognized university.
- Age should not exceed 35 years as on August 27, 2025.
