SOS Children’s Villages Nepal, a non-governmental social development organisation, supports children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education, health, and emergency relief. We are now seeking an interested and qualified individual for the position of accountant at Small Group Homes Pokhara.
Accountant – 1 (Full-time)
The accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial discipline through a proper accounting system, safeguarding assets, and ensuring an effective internal control system. S/he will be required to prepare financial reports and presentations, manage day-to-day financial transactions and correspondence, and conduct a realistic analysis of annual budget forecasts, including controlling and monitoring the budget.
Qualification, experience and skills:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Management with a specialisation in Finance or Accounting, achieving at least a second division or its equivalent, and possessing at least one year of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of government regulations related to procurement, taxes, and the accounting system of Nepal will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Nepali, along with proficiency in computer applications. Communication skills in Tibetan would be an added advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
- Experience working with children and young people will be an added advantage.
- Preference will be given to candidates holding a valid two-wheeler license.
For the above-mentioned position, the candidate must be a Nepali citizen and under 35 years of age.
