Admin-Finance Assistant
Founded in 2015, Centre for Social Change (CSC) is a non-profit making organization working on the changing socio-political dynamics of Nepalese society via research, education, advocacy, and civic engagement. CSC is mainly working on issues around conflict prevention, migration, governance, civil society development, and climate change.
CSC invites application from the committed, qualified, and competent candidates for the position of ‘Admin-Finance Assistant’.
Major responsibilities:
- Manage day to day administrative and financial transactions of the organization.
- Support for overall administrative and financial management of the organization and its projects.
- Ensure the implementation of organizational policies in finance and administration.
- Prepare journal/vouchers and record with necessary approvals and signatures.
- Prepare payroll sheets every month according to the employee contracts.
- Coordinate with finance officer and auditor to prepare financial audit report.
- Collect quotations for goods and services needed for projects.
- Involve in developing budget for new project to help organization in fundraising.
- Ensure the required taxes are paid on time and are as per government regulation.
- Release advance, review and verify expenses of field activities.
- Prepare the financial report within the donor reporting guideline.
- Prepare monthly financial report, bank/cash reconciliation statement.
- Follow up the attendance of employees and keep records of their leaves &holidays.
- Carry out organizational related reservations and organize events.
- Petty cash handling and reporting of expenses status.
- Perform other duties related to the job as assigned by the leadership team.
Qualification and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Development Finance, Accounting or relevant field with at least 1 year of experience in admin-finance management preferably with a national level NGO.
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting software, if any, excel spreadsheet along with good computer skills.
- Excellent skill in administration and financial documentation.
- Good knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principle.
- Able to accomplish quality work with strict deadlines.
- Self-motivated, self-confident and a team player.
