We are currently looking for few candidates to fill in the position of Account Officer. The candidate should possess 2 to 3 years of experience in account/finance operations and preference will be given to those candidate who has worked in construction company.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up to date records in tally software including general ledger entries.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payment and collection of outstanding balances, reconciliation of payable and receivable.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and exercise discretion in handling sensitive data.
- Monitor project costs and expenses.
- Ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
- Ensure proper documentation of accounting records.
- Communicate with various stakeholder for timely receipt of documents for record keeping and entries posting.
- Preparation of various reports as required by management.
The candidate should:
- Be excellent in using Microsoft excel, Microsoft word and tally.
- Have excellent knowledge of accounting principles, Costing, Internal controls, Tax rules and Regulations.
- Be able to identify issues in accounting controls and suggest necessary measure to solve them.
- Be able to work independently and as part of team.
- Should have at least completed Bachelor degree in accounting/finance. Professional course shall be added advantage.
