Application Support Engineer

Job Description

  • Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot various functions of the Core Billing system and other software platforms.
  • Provide support to dealers, sub-dealers, service franchises, techniians, vendors for various application systems.
  • Offer troubleshooting and configuration support for mobile apps and websites.
  • Manage and implement configuration changes in the BSS/OSS systems, ensuring proper testing and minimal service impact.
  • Maintain regular logs of customer service issues, ensuring appropriate solutions are provided.
  • Coordinate with Customer Support supervisors and team leads to resolve service-related issues efficiently.
  • Test software modules prior to implementation on the system.
  • Facilitate the implementation of software for end users.
  • Conduct testing and quality assurance of various schemes and in-house applications before deployment in the production environment.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
  • Provide training and knowledge-sharing sessions for internal teams and service partners to increase system familiarity and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Collaborate on projects to enhance system feature set based on business needs.

Specific Job Skills:

  • Strong understanding of software testing and implementation workflows, ensuring task is completed within set timelines.
  • Ability to prepare relevant documentation needed for task design and execution.
  • Skilled in identifying and resolving technical problems within core systems promptly.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and presentation skills.
  • Capable of conducting thorough system tests and efficiently resolving related issues.
  • Proven ability to execute assignments in a timely manner.
  • Required to work morning, evening, and occasionally night shifts.

Academic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or an equivalent field.
  • 1 year of experience in software testing and billing operations is preferred, adding a competitive advantage.
