Heifer Project Nepal (HPN) is a non-profit, humanitarian organization dedicated to ending hunger and poverty and caring for the earth by providing livestock, education, and other resources to help poor families become self-reliant. HPN invites applications from eligible Nepali citizens for the “Girl Child Education Program”.

Associate Project Officer Nos. – 1 (12 months)

Major Roles and Responsibility:

The Associate Project Officer is responsible for oversight of the entire “Girl Child Education (GCE) Program”, ensuring smooth implementation and high quality to meet the project goal, outcomes, and outputs. S/he will be responsible for coordinating with stakeholders and reporting on project progress. In addition, this position will be responsible for internal and external communication related to the “Integrated Dairy Productivity Improvement Project for Smallholder Farmers in Kamalamai Municipality, Nepal”.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in social or natural sciences, rural development, mass communication, or a related field with at least two (2) years of previous job experience of a similar nature
  • Data management and analysis
  •  Familiar with child education and development
  •  Time management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  •  Self-motivated person able to work without close supervision.
  • Computer proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, electronic mail and the internet (Microsoft preferred)
  • Good leadership qualities and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet the deadlines.
  • Ability to write quality blog/news articles and communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences.
  •  Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements.
