Program Manager
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Programme Director to develop comprehensive program plans and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Oversee program implementation, ensuring activities are executed within established timelines and budgets while addressing challenges to optimize project delivery.
- Manage day-to-day program operations, fostering efficiency, effectiveness, and seamless coordination across project components.
- Supervise and mentor program staff, promoting a collaborative and high-performance work environment while supporting professional development.
- Develop and implement robust monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to assess program outcomes, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Facilitate communication and coordination among stakeholders to enhance program integration and effectiveness.
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the Programme Director and funding agencies, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in line with organizational standards.
- Position based at ARD’s central office in Gatthaghar, Bhaktapur, with occasional travel to project locations.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Graduate (Master’s) University degree or comparable degree in Women Studies, Rural Development, Development Studies, GESI, Sociology
Experience:
- More than 5 years of experience in national/international development cooperation with a focus on women, youth education and/or livelihood.
- More than 5 years of experience in designing and implementing impact-oriented projects and programs related to women, youth education and/or livelihood.
- Experience working with national and international NGOs, contributing to program implementation, stakeholder coordination and community development initiatives.
Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of community-based and participatory project implementation.
- Excellent English language skills (spoken, written, and reporting).
- Demonstrated project design and implementation abilities.
- Track record of effectively managing and motivating diverse teams in complex project environments.
- Ability to cultivate a positive and inclusive team culture that encourages collaboration and innovation through leadership capabilities.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for document creation, data analysis, reporting, and communication.
- Familiarity with video conferencing tools such as Zoom, Skype, or Microsoft Teams for virtual meetings and collaboration with stakeholders.
