CWIN Nepal is seeking qualified and committed candidates for the position of Social Mobilizer to support child protection and case management services in flood-affected communities of Rasuwa and Nuwakot.

The Social Mobilizer will work closely with Child Helpline Nepal 1098, local governments, children, families, communities, and other child protection service providers. The position will mainly focus on separated, unaccompanied, and other vulnerable children affected by the flood.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Child Helpline Nepal 1098 and local governments to identify and support vulnerable children.
  • Identify separated, unaccompanied, and vulnerable children in flood-affected communities.
  • Conduct child protection assessments and support individual case management.
  • Develop and follow individual case plans based on each child’s needs.
  • Conduct regular follow-up visits with children, families, and caregivers.
  • Support family tracing, reunification, and reintegration when appropriate.
  • Refer children and families to appropriate protection, health, education, psychosocial, legal, and other services.
  • Coordinate with local governments, schools, health facilities, police, and other service providers.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case records and documentation.
  • Support community-based child protection and awareness activities.
  • Identify protection concerns and report urgent cases through appropriate safeguarding procedures.
  • Ensure children’s dignity, safety, confidentiality, and best interests throughout case management.
  • Prepare regular field updates, case reports, and activity reports and update the case information into CPIMS.
  • Perform other related duties assigned by the project team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have successfully completed at least a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from a recognized institution.
  • Knowledge of child protection and social work principles is required.
  • Understanding of case management for vulnerable children is preferred.
  • Good communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work directly with children, families, and communities.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly within flood-affected and remote communities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive child protection information.
  • Strong commitment to child rights, safeguarding, gender equality, and inclusion.

Preferred Experience

Experience in the following areas will be an advantage:

  • Child protection and child rights
  • Case management
  • Humanitarian or emergency response
  • Community mobilization
  • Family tracing and reunification
  • Psychosocial support

Working with local governments, child helplines, or child protection mechanisms
Candidates familiar with the local context of Rasuwa and Nuwakot and local languages will be given preference.

Contract Period

The position will be offered for a period of one year, subject to CWIN Nepal’s policies and project requirements.
