Position: General Manager (GM)

Location: Kathmandu, Nepal
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) is seeking a skilled, dynamic, and experienced individual to fill the position of General Manager. As the governing body for cricket in Nepal. CAN is responsible for the development, promotion, and organization of cricket activities across the counts.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of CAN, ensuring efficient and effective management of resources.
- Develop and execute strategic plans in collaboration with the Board to further enhance the growth of cricket in Nepal.
- Create and implement policies, guidelines, and processes to align with ICC and ACC standards and best practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including players, coaches, sponsors, government agencies, international cricket boards, and governing bodies such as ICC and ACC.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, financial reports, and revenue-generating activities.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to staff members, fostering a positive work environment and professional development opportunities.
- Represent CAN at national and international forums, conferences, and events to promote cricket in Nepal.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a Master’s Degree, preferably in management or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in the sports industry.
- Proven track record in a leadership role.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong knowledge of cricket, its rules, and the international cricketing landscape.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
