Pahar Trust Nepal (PTN), invites applications from eligible and interested Nepali candidates for the following positions. Pahar Trust Nepal is a registered NGO that is primarily focused in the mid-western foothills and the far-east of Nepal. Our aim is to build safe, durable schools that provide students with an encouraging environment in which to learn. In addition to school construction projects, we also undertake a variety of other projects, including the construction of community health posts, libraries, teacher’s training ECD centres, water supply and sanitation projects, provision of sports facilities, school hostels, school extension work and renovation and repair works
Development Officer
(Based on office at Pokhara with frequent visits to project sites around Nepal)
Required No: 1
Qualification: Bachelor degree or above in Education, International Development, Social Science, Management, Humanity or related.
Work experience: At least 3-years’ work experience in development sector of NGO/INGO or related jobs with skills on data collection, evaluation, report writing, database development, preparing project proposals, success story writing, linkages with non/government organizations. Strong verbal and written communications skills in both English and Nepali and additional skills in video editing and photography, IT will be given priority. Two-wheeler or a car/jeep licence will be an additional point.
Age Boundary: Below 40-years
Salary & benefit: As per Pahar Trust policy
Contract Period: 11 Months (Short term contract) – Room for upgrade based on job performance
