Driver
The Driver is responsible to drive Ipas Nepal’s vehicle and ensure that the vehicle is in proper condition. S/he should ensure cleanliness of the vehicle on daily basis and oversee routine maintenance and servicing of the vehicle.
Driving service
- Ensure the vehicle is in good condition at least daily checking such as brake, lights, indicators, radiator, batteries, tire pressure, Mobil level, fuel, including internal/external cleaning.
- Provide driving service for Ipas staff in the city areas and outside the valley.
- Ensure the internal/external cleanliness of the vehicles and motorbikes.
- Ensure the fuel availability in the vehicle for daily use.
- Use shortest possible route and avoid unnecessary mileage and time while drive.
- Provide pick up and drop off service for office staffs and other guests as requested by office.
- Contact security focal point and traffic control before starting the trip.
- Follow the traffic rules properly and always be careful on organizational norms and value.
- Follow the correct procedure in the event of an accident and notify the supervisor/office immediately and render assistance where necessary.
- Ensure all-necessary toolbox, safety items and first-aid box are available in the vehicle.
Follow up of the vehicle’s regular servicing in reputable outlets and parts replacement such as air filter, mobile, and other needed parts etc. - Properly log the refueling quantity, repair/maintenance, and parts replacement details in the logbook.
- Log the travel details in Ipas standard once the travel ends.
- Timely renew the vehicle’s and motorbikes’ documents such as blue book, pollution check (green sticker etc.)
- Follow up of the provincial motorbike’s blue book for further renew process as per legislative rules.
- Make calculation of fuel consumption ensuring the proper maintaining of logbook and compare the mileage.
Admin & Finance support
- Support on making photocopy, scanning, binding, and toner/cartridge replacement in photocopiers and printers.
- Provide logistic support in workshops, meetings, and seminar.
- Errand Bank, NTC, Drinking water office, CIT, PF, SSF, Tax office for related transaction.
- Run inter organizational, governmental, partners, doners and vendors’ offices for delivery of official documents, letters, parcels, pouches etc.
- Receive phone calls and relay/take messages on the absence of receptionist.
- Support in store on physical verification, make preparation of materials packing and placing in required time.
Understand and comply with the organization policies and ethics
- Understand and comply with the Human Resources, Procurement, Travel, Finance Policy, and other policies of the organization.
- Commitment and adherence to the Ipas code of business ethics and conduct and safeguarding policy.
- Ensure Ipas representatives (including consultants, interns, volunteers, independent contractors, suppliers/vendors, board members, sub-awardees) and government officials directly working with Ipas and its partners understand and practice the prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse policy while in partnership and implement program with Ipas.
- Contribute to safe working environment where every team member is treated equally and respectfully.
- Live up to the Ipas core values driven, principled, bold, interdependent.
- Ensure all work activities comply with the organization rules and regulations
- Ensure proper documentation of memo’s, decisions, reports and any official documents for record keeping hardcopy/OneDrive/Luna as appropriate.
PSEA compliance
- As an Ipas Nepal employee read, understand, and sign the acknowledgement to comply with all aspects of the PSEA as defined by the PSEA policy.

Other responsibilities
- Engage in a learning culture and participate and enrol learning courses of Ipas University.
- Willing to be back up for staff and vacant positions and perform other related duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Should be able to read and write general English and Nepali.
- Candidate with SLC/SEE completion certificate will be preferred.
- Must have a valid driving license.
- A minimum of 3 years of driving experience in different terrain.
- Previous experience of working in I/NGO will be preferred.
- Must have skills and knowledge in vehicle maintenance; ability to do simple general maintenance as required on the vehicle.
- Must be conversant with all traffic regulations and the Highway rules.
- Willing to travel outside the valley as required.
- Proven employment record in similar position.
