Emergency Response Coordinator

Location: Caritas Nepal Head Office, Lalitpur
Reporting to: Disaster Management Department (DMD) Manager
Duration: 1st December 2024 to 31st March 2025
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Disaster Management, International Development, Social Sciences, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in emergency response, disaster management, or humanitarian programming, with at least 2 years in a leadership or coordination role.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of emergency response principles, including needs assessments, relief distribution, and MEAL frameworks.
- Languages: Proficiency in Nepali and English
- Other Requirements: Willingness to travel to and work in remote, high-stress environments.

- Leadership: Ability to inspire and lead a diverse team in challenging situations.
- Project Management: Strong skills in project planning, implementation, and budget management.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders.

- Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to work respectfully and effectively in diverse cultural contexts.
