JOB OPPORTUNITY
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Drafting Engineer to support our drafting team in creating technical drawings for power utility projects. The Junior Drafting Engineer will assist in the preparation of detailed drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
Location:
On-site (Kathmandu, Bagmati, Nepal)
Responsibilities:
- The responsibilities of this role include, but may not be limited to, the following:
- Assist in creating and revising technical drawings under the guidance of senior engineers and designers.
- Utilize drafting software, including AutoCAD and Revit, to produce accurate drawings.
- Work closely with the engineering team to understand project requirements and contribute to the development of technical plans.
- Maintain and organize drafting files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
- Provide support to the project team by assisting with drafting-related tasks and offering technical input as needed.
- Participate in team meetings and site visits, gaining exposure to project workflows and drafting practices.
- Continuously learn and develop skills in drafting, modeling, and industry-specific software.
Qualifications:
- Diploma degree in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in drafting and design, preferably within the power utility sector.
- Basic proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
- Willingness to learn and develop skills in drafting standards, practices, and software tools.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to manage tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines.
