Prerana, a national-level NGO established in 1998, is dedicated to safeguarding and advancing the rights of women, the poor, people with disabilities, and other marginalized communities. Currently, the organization operates in Madhesh and Bagmati Provinces of Nepal. Prerana is expanding its projects to additional provinces through partnerships with national and international NGOs, as well as local, provincial, and federal governments, and other key stakeholders. The organization is now seeking experienced and qualified candidates for the following positions.
Executive Director – 1 (one)
Key responsibilities: The Executive Director will be responsible to provide strategic direction to ensure the NGO’s mission, vision, and long-term goals are fully aligned and achieved. Collaborate closely with the Board of Directors, supporting governance, policy-making, and decision-making processes. Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs to ensure they meet organizational objectives. Develop and execute effective fundraising strategies, cultivating strong donor relationships to secure financial support. Collaborate with key partners and stakeholders to strengthen alliances and advance the organization’s mission. Ensure robust monitoring and evaluation of programs, delivering timely and accurate reports to donors and partners.
Requirements: Applicants should hold a Master’s degree in Non-profit Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field. The candidate must have over 10 years of senior management experience in an NGO or similar organization. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a proven ability to provide strategic direction aligned with the NGO’s mission and long-term goals. They should also have experience in developing growth-oriented strategies, collaborating with Boards of Directors, overseeing program implementation, and successfully fundraising. Effective collaboration with partners, financial management skills, and excellent communication abilities.
GEDSI Manager -1 (one)
Key responsibilities: The GEDSI Manager will be responsible to lead the thematic sector of the project, ensuring the integration of gender equality, disability, and social inclusion in all aspects of project implementation and overseeing the implementation of policies and guideline as a focal. The role involves applying a disability and inclusion lens to all project activities, collaborating with federal-level stakeholders, and developing resources and tools that promote inclusivity.
Requirements: Applicants should hold a Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Rehabilitation , or a related field. The candidate must have over 5 years of experience in gender equality, disability, and social inclusion work, with significant experience in project development and management. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a proven ability to excellent leadership and team management skills, strong understanding of GEDSI principles and practices, experience in developing training modules and tools; ability to apply a GEDSI lens to all aspects of project work; ability to lead thematic sectors and manage teams; effective written and oral communication skills, with experience in reporting and advocacy and ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
Physiotherapist – 1 (one)
Key Responsibilities: The Physiotherapist plays a crucial role in providing top-quality rehabilitation services to individuals with functional limitations. Responsibilities include active participation in clinical treatment at the physical rehabilitation centre, engagement in outreach activities (such as mobile camps), and regular home/community visits.
Requirements: Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy and possess an NHPC License. Additionally, a minimum of one year of experience in community-based activities is required. High self-motivation, adaptability, and effective teamwork are essential attributes for success.
Certified Prosthetist & Orthoptist (P&O) – 1 (one)
Key Responsibilities: The certified P&O plays a crucial role in providing top-quality rehabilitation services to individuals with functional limitations. Responsibilities include to examines, prescribes, fabricates& follow up of lower extremity prosthetic and orthotic devices; manage prosthetic & orthotic unit; supervise lower limb prosthetic/orthotic technologist and workshop assistant; maintain all records relevant to assistive device production, client information, treatment planning, outcome of treatment and provided as required.
Requirements: Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Prosthetist & Orthotist (P&O) and possess an NHPC License, a minimum of one year of experience in working in rehabilitation centers is required. High self-motivation, adaptability, and effective teamwork are essential attributes for success. We also encouraged to possess membership with P&O Society Nepal.
Position 1& 2 are Based in head office, Lalitpur and Position 3 & 4 are based in field office at Sarlahi. Salary and benefits package will be accordance with organization’s rule; Duration of the contract is a 2 year, renewable.
