Job Description:

The purpose of this position is to work closely with advocacy, communications and partnership team for supporting the evidence generation from the field, advocacy initiatives including Campaign “ENOUGH”, and partnership works. This position also supports to enhance reputation and influence; and contribute to public-community connections and staff engagement for World Vision International Nepal (WVIN).

  • Understand key areas that WVIN focuses in relation to Campaign Theme and support the Advocacy Unit to facilitate the implementation of the Campaign.
  • Support Advocacy Team in systematizing the knowledge management aspect of the Campaign.
  • Process provides administrative, secretarial and clerical support on all matters related to the scaling up of the Campaign.
  • Provide support to identify and gather stories and issues from the field for use in social media focusing on campaign
  • Support to prepare and post content in WVIN’s social media pages
  • As needed work with Comms team to support network and coordinate with field staff/NGO partners to collect community content and package it for various communication platforms (website, social media, publications)
  • Provide administrative in Documentation of all PNGO related documents in close coordination with Partnership Specialist
  • Support Partnership function with Partnership Dashboard, MoAs/MoUs
  • Support in PNGOs performance evaluation and Excellence Award and other priorities as required
  • Ensure non-discriminatory behavior, integrity and diversity
  • Maintain meeting minutes of all team meetings and engagements as per the functions
  • Logistic arrangements during any team events or meetings
  • Understand about the importance and quality of correspondence and support External Engagement team members for timely flow of all correspondence to Field Offices as per the standard

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

Required Professional Experience

  • Basic understanding of advocacy, media sector, campaign and community-led development work
  • Basic understanding of communication practices and products
  • Basic coordination skills required
  • Good experience on handling social media and media channels
    Basic knowledge in evidence gathering including photography, videography, story writing is desired

Required Education, training, license, registration and certification

  • At least a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, journalism, media studies, law, development studies or relevant degree preferred

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Basic Knowledge on development facilitation in and with communities is desirable
  • Strong critical and analytical thinking skills
  • Basic facilitation skills, including catalyzing, connecting, and establishing coordination among the team members Experience in photography and videography is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong writing and speaking skills in English and Nepali
  • Have a good learning attitude
