We are hiring full-time a Finance and Administration Assistant to support Legal Research in Nepal for its project, “Understanding the situation of economic, social and cultural rights (ESCR) in the Transitional Justice Process in Nepal”.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting directly to the the Finance Officer – South Asia Programme, and functionally to the International Finance Officer, the Finance and Administration Assistant holds the following responsibilities:

Finance:

Assist in maintaining financial records, including filing, data entry, and processing transactions.

  • Assist in processing payments, including preparing payment vouchers and ensuring all supporting documents are in place.
  • Support in the management of office supplies, ensuring timely procurement and inventory management.
  • Assist in organizing meetings, workshops, and events, including handling logistics and preparing necessary materials.
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of logistics for field visits, including arranging transportation, accommodation, and other necessary support.

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will have:

Education & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience: One to two years of experience in finance, administration, or logistics support roles as an intern

Language & computer skills:

  • Fluent in English and Nepali (written and spoken);
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Spreadsheet and Word-processing programmes.
  • Experience with ERP/accounting softwares, an asset;

Essential Skills

  • Strong organizational, planning and time-management skills;
  • Attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Ability to take initiative;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Knowledge of accounting software is an advantage;
  • Knowledge in Nepal`s transitional justice process will be an advantage.
