Finance Officer

Requirements:

  •  Academic Qualification: at least bachelor’s in management or equivalent
  • At least 2 years’ work experience in related field
  •  Sound knowledge of computer applications in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. And financial software. Experience with FAMAS & Odoo will be an added advantage.
  •  Energetic, loyal and hardworking person with positive attitude
  • Proper communication skill
  •  Ability to join immediately.

Areas of Responsibility (AoRs):

The Finance Officer will work closely with Finance Manager and be mainly responsible for the following work:

Financial Transaction Processing:

  •  Process financial transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring meticulous maintenance of accounts.
  • Adhere to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements governing financial transactions.
  • Participate in monthly review meetings, providing updates, highlighting constraints, and contributing to the development of monthly plans.
  •  Deposit tax liabilities in accordance with prevailing laws and maintain comprehensive records, including tax reconciliation sheets and eTDS filings.
  •  Execute payroll processing and coordinate bank deposits in a timely manner.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Provide necessary financial data to support budget planning and execution for team leads and regulatory bodies.
  • Conduct analysis of budget versus actual expenditures, identifying and communicating variance drivers and corrective measures required.
  •  Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports as per funding arrangements and regulatory obligations.
  • Perform monthly checks on assets and liabilities, storing reconciliation reports appropriately for audit purposes.
  • Reconcile bank accounts promptly to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial records.

Team Coordination and Compliance:

  • Facilitate both internal and external financial audits, assisting in the drafting of financial statements and accompanying notes.
  •  Discuss audit findings with relevant stakeholders, devising and implementing action plans to address identified issues.
  •  Conduct thorough pre-audit assessments of assets, liabilities, and documentation to ensure readiness for audits.
  • Collaborate with audit teams to provide necessary documentation and support throughout the audit process.
  •  Monitor and ensure compliance with audit recommendations and regulatory requirements to maintain financial integrity.
