Collective Campaign for Peace (COCAP) is a national network of 43 peace and human rights non-governmental organizations from 29 different districts of Nepal. It started as a loose, informal forum in June 2001 and was registered with the government of Nepal as a non-profit, non-political network in December 2002. It aims to provide a common space for its members, volunteers and friends to collectively engage in the pursuit for peace, human rights and justice in Nepal.
COCAP seeks application from qualified and result oriented candidates for the following position:
Front Desk Assistant
Role: Full time
Employer: Collective Campaign for Peace (COCAP)
Location: National Secretariat, Kathmandu
Contract period: 1 year with possibility of extension (3 months’ probation)
Salary: Negotiable
Role & Responsibilities:
- Receive, direct and relay telephone messages and fax messages.
- Pick up and deliver regular mails.
- Maintain the general filing system of all official correspondences.
- Assist in the planning and preparation of meetings, conferences and other peace building activities
- Assist in Resource Center Management, Library & publications management.
- Provide the secretarial support.
- Maintain & update inventory list.
- Assist in typing the documents both in Nepali and English.
- Work under the supervision of Admin/Finance Department.
- Assist in other works as per need.
Qualification & Required Skills
- At least +2 or intermediate degree in management/ science or other related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in the related field.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Nepali languages.
- Must be citizen of Nepal
