Position: Grants Acquisition Coordinator
Location: Kusunti, KC Tower, Lalitpur, Nepal

Key Responsibilities:
This position will work with staffs from across WVI Nepal and the WV partnership to support identifying, development and timely submission of quality concept notes and proposals, from institutional grant funding, private non-sponsorship (PNS) funding and from private sectors/foundations and the regular day to day grants acquisition business processes.
Major Responsibilities
Lead the quality proposals/concept notes development aligning with call/donor requirements, WVI Nepal strategy and community need :
- Work closely with cross-functional department/units to develop concept notes and proposals (including logical frameworks, draft budgets, budget narratives, and monitoring and evaluation plans) for major government, private and multi-lateral donors, aligning to WVI Nepal strategy and community needs.
- Coordinate with cross functional units in developing PNS catalogue consisting of concept ideas aligning to future opportunities and WVI Nepal’s Area Programming.
- Contribute to meeting the annual grants acquisition target (KPI of the grants acquisition unit).
- Where relevant, support assessment processes required for the concept notes/proposal. This might involve travel to potential project sites to collect information for proposals.
- Support Grants Acquisition Manager and Program Development and Quality (PDQ) Director in identifying and defining funding sources from potential donors, identifying strategic consortium partnerships.
- Co-create proposal development together with WVI Nepal’s local/national partners including consortium partners.
External Engagement with partners, donors and government
- Work with technical staffs, MEAL, communications and operations team as required to support developing high-quality communication materials to support (pre)positioning with donors and partners, including capacity statements and for donor pack materials.
- Provide regular, positive, and productive communication materials to World Vision fundraising offices, donors to showcase WVI Nepal’s program impact.
- Support Grants Acquisition Manager and PDQ Director to establish/ strengthen relationships and networks, with local/national CSOs, private actors and other key stakeholders to gather donor intelligence and build collaborative relationships.
- Advise on potential fundraising opportunities arising from intel, forecasts and donor strategies.
- Research, monitor, and analyse shifting donor strategy/priority, funding landscape, or regulatory information, and advise to PDQ Director and Grants Acquisition Manager.
Effective and timely grants implementation
- Coordinate with the operations team to ensure timely comprehensive (all relevant project documents and donor guidelines) hand-over of awarded project to Operations point person and wider grant project teams.
- Where relevant, support planning and facilitation of grant start-up and compliance workshops.
Knowledge Management and other tasks assigned
- Update Grants Acquisition status and dashboard on monthly basis.
- Keep up to date knowledge repository for Grants Acquisition business.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by Grants Acquisition Manager and PDQ Director.
Requirements Include:
Required Education
- Bachelor level university degree in a social science, development studies, international relations, education, social protection, health/nutrition.
Required Professional Experience
- At least 5 years experiences working in the relevant positions in Nepal.
- Experience of developing concept notes / proposals for funding from bilateral, multi-lateral donors, private sectors and foundations.
- Proven ability to write winning concept papers and proposals.
- Academic experience and/or work experience in the sectors education, health, nutrition, livelihood and child protection, DRR
- Good knowledge and relevant experience on proposal submission/securing grants from bilateral/ multi-lateral donors, foundations and private sectors.
- Aware and knowledge on contract opportunity and blended financing funding streams
- Ability to manage pressures and to meet tight project proposals deadline.
- Strong written and oral command of English language.
- Competent in use of Microsoft Office computer programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
- Masters level degree in any discipline.
- Knowledge of Programme Design, Monitoring and Evaluation.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to quickly grasp complex programme concepts across a range of sectors.
Other Requirements
- Donor visit and co-creation of proposed interventions with partner NGOs and other partners.
- Readiness to travel to field offices and remote project location.
- Demonstrate fluency in both written and spoken Nepali and English.
