Job Description

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive payment strategy aligned with the company’s goals, considering industry best practices and emerging payment technologies
  • Identify opportunities for growth and expansion in payment methods to enhance the customer experience
  • Oversee the selection, integration, and management of payment service providers, gateways, and processors
  • Ensure smooth and frictionless payment processing, including authorization, settlement, and reconciliation
  • Continuously analyze payment data, trends, and customer behavior to optimize the payment processes
  • Identify areas for improvement, such as reducing cart abandonment rates, increasing conversion rates, and streamlining checkout processes
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry regulations, payment security standards and data privacy requirements
  • Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect customer payment information and ensure compliance with relevant standards
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with payment partners, negotiate contracts, and manage performance to ensure healthy growth of prepayment business
  • Monitor service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the delivery of high-quality payment services
  • Devise and implement strategies to optimize payment costs, ensure compliance and set up payments risk infrastructure
  • Develop and implement metrics, reporting mechanisms, and dashboards to monitor payment performance, financial metrics, and key business indicators
  • Present regular updates and insights to senior management, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Foster cross-learning and collaboration with regional counterparts to share best practices, strategize initiatives, and create success stories

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, finance or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in payments, preferably in an e-commerce or banking industry, especially in the payments department
  • Strong understanding of payment systems, technologies, and industry trends
  • In-depth knowledge of payment processing, including authorization, settlement, and reconciliation processes
  • Familiarity with payment service providers, gateways, and processors
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and communicate with stakeholders at various levels
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives and drive results
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • The ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans aligned with organizational goals and objectives
