HEARD Nepal envisions to enable even the poorest people of Nepal to gain access to Health & Nutrition, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Inclusive Quality education, Food Security, Livelihood and Economic Development, Child rights Governance and Child Protection (CRG-CP), Environmental and Occupational Health, GEDSI and Child Safeguarding, Humanitarian Relief Management, Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) & Social Mobilization, Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaption (DRR/CCA), Research and Innovations, Youth Development and Engagement, Emergency COVID-19 and Policy/Advocacy to contribute to the sustainable humanitarian development programs in Federal, Provincial, and local government in Nepal. Professional volunteer/Internship (for Public Health & Development Program)

Duty Station: – Biratnagar, Nepal
Duration of Contract: – 3 months, with the possibility of an extension.
Required Number – 2
Estimated start Date: – As soon as possible.
Closing Date: – 25 April, 2024

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate with Government and non-government entities viz. (DCC, Health Office, Rural Municipality EDPs, etc.) and local health institutions
  • Contribute to evaluation and research designs including applied research and contributions to program and organizational impact frameworks and theories of change. Contribute to design of advocacy evaluation frameworks and measurement of scaling initiatives
  • Ability to work independently, including organizing and prioritizing activities
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing English and Nepali.
  • Ability to Write report, Data Enry.
  • Capable of handling Microsoft Office, statistical software like SPSS, prepare google docs etc.

Required Qualifications and Experience: – Education – Bachelor’s degree running/Completed in Public health, Nursing, Social science (BSW), Management from an accredited academic institution.
