About the Organization:
Higher Ground Community Development Nepal (HGCDN), a registered non-governmental organization (NGO), whose mission is to transform the lives of individuals through socio-economic empowerment was established in 2008 and is affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (SWC). It focuses on children, adolescents, youth and women who are at-risk of being exploited due to poverty, gender discrimination, lack of access to education, and unemployment. Such individuals are highly likely to be exposed to abusive circumstances and become victims of physical and emotional abuse and human trafficking.
To achieve its mission, the organization uses multi-faceted approaches by focusing on five major programs: Emergency Shelter and Support, Education Support, Community Awareness, Entrepreneurial Development and Skills Development.
Position Description:
We are seeking a professional and organized Executive Assistant and Research Coordinator to join our team. This role will be responsible for providing executive support, conducting research, and managing projects as well as work on funding proposals and reports.
The ideal candidate for this role will have prior experience as an executive assistant, as well as experience in conducting research and managing projects. They will have excellent communication and organizational skills, and a strong ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the research team as well as performing executive assistant duties for the department.
Responsibilities include:
• Coordinating research projects and activities.
• Researching and identifying potential donors.
• Preparing and maintaining research reports and presentations.
• Preparing fundraising proposals, databases and reports.
• Assisting in the development of research protocols and procedures.
• Supporting the research team with data collection and analysis.
• Liaising with external partners and stakeholders.
• Communicating with other departments within an organization to ensure that fundraising goals are met.
• Preparing regular reports on donor activity and research activities for executive staff members within the organization.
• Organizing meetings and travel arrangements.
• Developing marketing strategies for fundraising events to ensure that each event is successful and meets its fundraising goals.
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in a relevant field
• 3+ years of experience in a research or administrative role
• Knowledge of research protocols, fundraising and procedures
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
