Position: Safety Officer
Location: Bhairahawa
Job Overview & Specification:
- Implement site HSE plans, policies, and safety procedures.
- Conduct site inspections, hazard identification, risk assessments, and corrective action follow-ups.
- Monitor piling, lifting, excavation, hot work, work at height, and heavy equipment operations.
- Verify lifting plans, equipment certifications, and safe lifting practices.
- Ensure PPE compliance, proper barricading, and safety signage.
- Maintain work permits, SWMS, safety checklists, and reports.
- Conduct safety inductions, Toolbox Talks, emergency drills, and fire safety training.
- Investigate incidents and near misses and recommend preventive measures.
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and workers on safety compliance.
- Inspect tools, machinery, and lifting accessories.
- Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, project specifications, and company policies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field; engineering background preferred.
- Relevant experience in construction-site safety, preferably in piling or industrial projects.
- Knowledge of lifting operations, risk assessments, and permit-to-work procedures.
- NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or relevant safety certifications preferred.
- Proficiency in Hindi is strongly preferred.
