Hriti Foundation invites applications from qualified and motivated candidates for the following positions under the “Formation and Operationalization of a Multi-Stakeholder Civic Engagement Advocacy Platform in Karnali Province” project, implemented in partnership with UNDP Nepal.
Position: Civic Engagement Officer (1 Position)
Duty Station: Hriti Foundation Office, Birendranagar-8, Surkhet, Nepal
Contract Duration: 15 Months (July 2026 – September 2027)
The Civic Engagement Officer will lead the implementation of civic engagement activities by coordinating the Multi-Stakeholder Civic Engagement Advocacy Platform, facilitating public dialogues and advocacy events, strengthening stakeholder partnerships, promoting inclusive participation, and supporting project documentation and reporting. Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be female.
- Be below 35 years of age at the time of application.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Political Science, Public Administration, Rural Development, Mass Communication, Gender
- Studies, or a related discipline.
- Have a minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in community engagement, civic participation, governance, social mobilization, or development projects.
- Have experience working with NGOs, INGOs, government institutions, or donor-funded projects (preferred).
- Demonstrate experience in facilitating stakeholder consultations, public dialogue, and partnership coordination.
- Possess excellent facilitation, communication, coordination, report writing, and documentation skills.
- Have good knowledge of democratic governance, civic engagement, social accountability, and Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI).
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Have excellent written and spoken Nepali and good command of English.
- Be willing to travel extensively within Karnali Province.
Position : Community Outreach Facilitator (1 Position)
Community Outreach Facilitator will support community mobilization, civic awareness campaigns, outreach activities, community-led advocacy initiatives, and coordination with local communities and stakeholders to strengthen citizen participation and inclusive governance. Detail TOR
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be female.
- Be below 35 years of age at the time of application.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Education, Development Studies, Rural Development, Community Development, Public Administration, Gender Studies, or a related discipline.
- Have a minimum of one (1) years of professional experience in community mobilization, outreach, awareness campaigns, social mobilization, or community development.
- Have experience working with NGOs, INGOs, community-based organizations, or donor-funded projects (preferred).
- Demonstrate experience in organizing community meetings, awareness campaigns, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Possess strong interpersonal, facilitation, coordination, and communication skills.
- Have knowledge of community development approaches and Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI).
- Be able to prepare field reports and maintain project documentation.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Have excellent written and spoken Nepali and a good command of English.
- Be willing to travel extensively within Karnali Province.
