JOB OPPORTUNITY

Human Rights and Environment Development Centre (HuRENDEC) Nepal, Kalikot has been established in Kalikot and working in Karnali region for more than 2 decade. The organization has been working on need based action orientated multi-disciplinary areas through social mobilization especially focusing on human rights, livelihood, micro enterprise, infrastructure, climate change, cash for work, lobby/advocacy, empowerment, disaster management, natural resource management and ecofriendly infrastructure.

HuRENDEC Nepal, Kalikot has been implementing “Girls Standing Strong (GSS) project in partnership with Plan International Nepal in Raskot Municipality of Kalikot district. The key goal of the project is that all child, adolescent and young (CAY) particularly girls and young women enjoy their rights to live free from child, early and forced marriage (CEFM). For this, HuRENDEC Nepal Kalikot invites application from result oriented and highly motivated Nepalese candidates for the following positions.

Position: Project Officer -1

Contract Type: H-SC 6

Duty Station: Raskot municipality (Project Office)

Report to: Project coordinator

Salary and Benefits: As per the organization’s norms commensurate with the project agreement.

Minimum Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in social science, BSW, education (health, English), public health or development studies. At least 3 years’ of experience in officer level, working with I/NGO in the field of education, protection
  • Good knowledge on cash and voucher programming and SBCC, WASH, nutrition and GESI mainstreaming into development programming. He/she should have knowledge of MS word/excel, project monitoring, data collection, and analysis, and report writing.

Major Responsibility

Project Officer (PO) is responsible for the programmatic progress, implementation of the project, and project framework and support project team to review the achievement from equality perspective by in-depth analysis of existing qualitative reports. The position requires documenting performance following the project’s requirement and reporting progress against the targets/indicators. S/he will prepare progress reports, fact sheets, and activities progress in line with the project application and subsequent documents.
