Human Rights Awareness Centre (HURAC–Nepal),Rolpa, established in 1997, is a non-profit making, non-political and leading Nepali non-governmental organization (NGO) working in the areas of rural development, human rights and social justice. HURAC has a strategic focus on protecting and promoting economic, social and cultural rights and the right to development. Its major interventions include livelihood, education, protection, health and sanitation, gender equality, child rights, advocacy, networking, research and awareness rising for people’s empowerment.

HURAC believes in result-oriented actions to address poverty, hunger, inequality, and social injustice, with special focus on children, women, marginalized and vulnerable communities.

HURAC hereby invites applications from interested and qualified Nepali citizens for the following full-time positions under the KOICA / UNFPA / Plan International funded “Safe and Enabling Environment for Adolescent Girls and Young Women (SAFE-Girls)” and Global Programme on Ending Child Marriage (ECM) projects, implemented by Human Rights Awareness Center (HURAC–Nepal) Rolpa in partnership with Plan International Nepal, working in Rolpa and Kapilvastu districts.

Project Location

HURAC Central Office, Rolpa and Project Office, Kapilvastu (with frequent field visits)

Contract Period

Project period: January 2025 to 31 December 2027

Initial contract will be for one year of 2026, with possibility of extension based on performance and fund availability.

Required Positions

 Senior Project Coordinator – 1

Duty Station: Central Office, Rolpa (with frequent travel to Kapilvastu)

Qualification and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Social Science or related field, preferably master in Health/public health
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project coordination, community-based programmes or NGO sector
  • Experience working with local governments and donor-funded projects is an asset

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead overall planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring of project activities in Rolpa and Kapilvastu
  • Provide technical guidance and backstopping to District Project Coordinator, Finance Coordinator and field teams
  • Consolidate annual, quarterly and monthly work plans and reports
  • Ensure compliance with donor guidelines, organizational policies and safeguarding standards
  • Coordinate with municipalities, district stakeholders, networks and development partners
  • Support documentation, reporting, learning and donor monitoring visits
  • Promote GESI, child safeguarding, PSEA and accountability across all project activities

 District Project Coordinator – 1

Duty Station: Kapilvastu Project Office (with frequent field visits and coordination with Rolpa)

Qualification and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Social Science or related field having minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in project implementation and field coordination Or Bachelor’s degree in Social Science or related field having minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project implementation and field coordination
  • Experience working with municipalities and district-level stakeholders preferred

Main Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, monitor and report project activities at district level
  • Supervise Field Officers and coordinate with finance and procurement staff
  • Maintain coordination with local governments, DCC, FNJ, NGO Federation and partner organizations
  • Ensure quality implementation as per approved logframe and donor requirements
  • Support documentation, reporting and facilitation of monitoring visits
  • Maintain regular communication and reporting with HURAC Central Office

Finance Coordinator – 1

Duty Station: Rolpa (with frequent travel to Kapilvastu)

Qualification and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Management, Commerce, Business Studies or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in finance, accounting or NGO project finance
  • Experience with FAMAS or similar accounting software preferred

Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare budgets, track expenditures and maintain accurate financial records
  • Ensure financial compliance with donor and organizational policies
  • Maintain accounting records, vouchers, advances and reconciliations
  • Prepare and submit periodic financial reports and fund requests
  • Support procurement processes, audits and financial monitoring visits
  • Provide financial guidance and support to project and field teams
