Position: CCL Shift Incharge (Assistant Manager)
Location: Jagdamaba Steels Factory, Simara, Bara
Position Overview:
Jagdamba Steels Limited invites applications for the position of CCL Shift Incharge (Assistant Manager) at its Cold Rolling Mill (CRM) Plant located in Simara, Bara.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve shift production targets in terms of volume, throughput, and efficiency of the Color Coating Line (CCL).
- Monitor and control line speed, oven temperature, coating thickness, and other critical process parameters for smooth operations.
- Ensure proper shift handover and prepare detailed reports on production output, downtime, and material consumption.
- Maintain product quality including colour matching, gloss level, coating adhesion, and uniformity.
- Conduct on-shift quality checks such as Dry Film Thickness (DFT) and adhesion testing.
- Identify and resolve coating defects such as bubbling, sagging, pinholes, dust contamination, and surface issues.
- Supervise pre-treatment processes (cleaning/degreasing) and paint application through roll coating systems.
- Coordinate with maintenance team for timely breakdown resolution and equipment reliability.
- Supervise, train, and assign tasks to operators, technicians, and helpers.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and SOPs across the shift.
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of chemicals, paints, and hazardous materials with PPE compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement in productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
Education:
- B.Tech/B.E., Diploma, or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or related fields.
Experience:
- 10–12 years of experience in Color Coating Line (CCL), Cold Rolling Mill (CRM), Continuous Galvanizing Line (CGL), or steel coating/processing industry.
- Strong knowledge of coating operations, quality control, and shift management.
- Experience in handling production teams in a manufacturing environment.
