CARE Nepal is an international humanitarian organization working in the country for the past 40 years. It currently works in 60 districts through various programs on issues relating to improving the lives of the poorest and most vulnerable populations through programs that work on the following themes: food security and climate change; emergency preparedness and DRR; migration and urbanization; sexual reproductive and maternal health; gender based violence; women and girls’ leadership. Marginalized Women and Adolescent Girls are our two primary impact groups. Core priorities include investment in the empowerment and leadership of women and girls, reaching hard to reach population, good governance and accountability, working in partnership and alliance with like-minded actors, and evidence-based advocacy.

CARE Nepal hereby invites applications, for the below mentioned positions, from interested Nepalese candidates.

1. Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Specialist

Key responsibilities:

The GESI Specialist will facilitate the integration of GESI across themes of Suaahara II and provide implementation and technical guidance to the district GESI officers and the team. S/he will coordinate and work together with GESI focal points and units of related ministries and departments, relevant networks/forums and experts for mainstreaming GESI into the Suaahara partner organizations, program components and advocacy to strengthen governments’ GESI plan and policies.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master Degree in Gender Studies, Development Studies, Social Sciences or related subject with 3 years relevant experience or a Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years relevant experience in the field of GESI sensitive program development and implementation, organizational assessment and development from GESI perspective.

2. Trainee-Sub Grants Management

Key responsibilities:

The Trainee will support the team for efficient functioning of the Sub Grants Management Unit of CARE Nepal. S/He will support Sub Grants Management Specialist in ensuring compliance with Sub grant management policy and other related requirements

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Accounting, Financial Management or related subject. Fresher’s can apply.
