Junior Technical Assistant

Location: Caritas Nepal, Provincial office, Kohalpur

Requirements and Qualifications

Skill and Experience:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate and engage with diverse communities and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of livelihoods, gender equality, social inclusion, and environmental sustainability and disability issues.
  • Experience in facilitating training sessions, workshops, and community mobilization activities.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritizes tasks, and manages time effectively in a dynamic and challenging environment.
  • Experience in the use of computers and office software (MS Word, Excel, etc.);
  • Willingness to work under difficult life conditions.
  • Valid driving license, ability to ride a motorcycle in rural environment

Education:

  • ISC in Agriculture with at least 3 years of experience in organic farming or agricultural techniques, or JT-Agriculture with over 5 years of experience in organic farming, agro-ecology, or agricultural techniques.
  • Project implementation, data collection, and reporting, preferably in the development sector.

Languages: Excellent command of spoken and written English

Functional competency

  • Has excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to advocate and provide policy advice
  • Promotes organizational learning and knowledge-sharing;
  • Priority will be given to local candidates, women, and individuals with disabilities.

Core competency:

  • Familiarity with local contexts, customs, and cultures of Tharu and Madeshi communities is preferred.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership and sound judgment
  • Strategic thinker with ability to conceptualize and operationalize;
  • Takes initiatives;
  • Acts as a team player and facilitates teamwork
