Position: Training and Communication Officer
Duty Station: Pokhara
LEADS Nepal, a non-profit organisation working in Mental Health, Livelihoods, and Dignity, invites applications from qualified candidates for the position of Training
and Communication Officer.
Most Important Requirement
The candidate must have excellent English proficiency and be fully confident in Nepali–English translation, especially during donor visits, field interactions, interviews, and presentations. Applicants who meet other criteria but cannot translate fluently and accurately will not be prioritised.
Key Responsibilities (Summary)
Provide real-time Nepali–English translation during donor visits and field activities; support planning and coordination of training programs; liaise with local government and community groups; conduct field visits for data collection and documentation; capture and edit photos/videos; prepare reports, communication materials, and social media updates; and translate documents and case stories between Nepali and English.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Strong English communication skills
- Skills in photography, video editing, and basic design tools
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel
- Ability to work with communities and travel to field sites
- Experience in NGOs/communication (preferred)
