Logistics Associate (INT10347)

Duration: Fixed term contract until March 31, 2025, with possibility of extension
Location: Based in Kathmandu

The Role:
Logistic Associate comes under the Business Support Team. This position is responsible in managing the overall logistics functions of procurement, assets, equipment, store, warehouse and fleet and to ensure effective, transparent and accountable logistics support.
What we are looking for:
The Logistics Associate would perform regular procurement, asset and other related task in collaboration with other departments. The position is responsible for managing time to deliver Logistics objectives and deliverables, contribute to procedures and strategy and development of improvement of logistics system and process.
- Bachelors’ degree in logistics or business administration or on relevant field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in I/NGOS in logistics management and experience in humanitarian, development programmes and security aspects.
- Diplomacy, tact and negotiating skills.
- Proven knowledge of computerized systems and demonstrable experience of working with computerized accounting packages and spreadsheets.
- Flexibility under pressure and in response to changing needs.
- Good experience in purchasing, warehousing, asset/ equipment, administration and fleet management.
- Ability to prioritise own workload, can follow instructions under limited supervision.
- Sound knowledge of related local laws and statutory requirements.
- Sensitivity to cultural differences, and the ability to work in a wide variety.
- Sensitivity to gender and diversity issues in work practices.
- Good written and communication skills. Fluency in English
- Ability to keep clear and concise records.
