Management and Communication Coordinator

Location: Kathmandu
Supervisor: Chairperson/ Executive Director

The Management and Communication (KMC) Coordinator will lead the organization in overall operation management, knowledge management, communication and institutional development. The coordinator will be responsible for fundraising, knowledge development documentation, dissemination and smooth functioning of the resource center.

Responsibilities:

A. Operation management

  • Take overall leadership for the smooth operation of the Feminist Resource center
  • Raise internal and external funds for smooth functioning of the Feminist Resource Center
  • Feminist Resource Center is VAT registered Non For profit company so develops plans and maintain all governments requirement.

A. Knowledge Management

  •  Develop an annual action plan aligned with the organizational strategy and assist in the preparation and implementation of knowledge management activities at local, provincial, and national levels.
  •  Create an editorial calendar, social media plans, advocacy plans, and materials based on strategy plan.
  • Regularly disseminate relevant thematic information among local, national, regional, and international stakeholders.
  • Develop a feminist knowledge platform and resource hub in line with organizational objectives.
  • Establish or maintain an up-to-date documentation center for communication materials, including publications, press releases, clippings, photographs, audio-visual materials, web resources, etc.

B. Communication:

  •  Produce, develop, write, and edit proposals, communication and advocacy materials, newsletters, website content, social media content, human interest stories, articles, videos, podcasts, and infographics for both web-based and traditional media.
  • Collaborate with other women-led organizations to Produce Feminist Knowledge generate.
  • Conduct field visits to relevant program areas to develop feminist knowledge in coordination with Executive director and board members of FRC
  • Act as the focal point to coordinate brand compliance and contribute to the organization’s internal communication mechanisms.
  • Fulfill roles as per the organization’s needs and supervisor’s instructions.

Required Qualification and Experience:

  •  Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Development Communication, Public Relations or related field with at least 3 years of professional work experience in knowledge management, communication, print and broadcast media, or related field. Excellent written and verbal communication and reporting skills in English and Nepali language,
  • Experience in developing proposals, coordination, and communication with partner organizations, designing and implementing communication and/or media outreach plans,
  • Knowledge of knowledge management, communication, and advocacy strategies and experienced with working in various media formats including print, web, audio, video etc,
