Job Title: Merchandiser
Designation: Merchandiser
Reports to: Sales Manager
Location: Chandol, Nepal
Shift: Standard (09:00 AM to 05:00 PM) from Sunday to Friday

Position Overview

The Merchandiser is responsible for planning and executing product selection, inventory management, and visual merchandising strategies. S/he will analyze market trends, maintain strong supplier relationships, and work closely with the sales and marketing teams to maximize product visibility and sales performance.

Roles and Responsibilities

Merchandising Execution

  • Develop and implement merchandising strategies to maximize sales.
  • Plan and manage product assortments, pricing, and inventory levels.
  • Ensure proper product placement, displays, and promotions to attract customers.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers for replenishment.

Market Research & Analysis

  • Conduct market research on customer preferences, industry trends, and competitor offerings.
  • Analyze product performance and recommend adjustments to maximize sales.
  • Prepare and present detailed merchandising reports and forecasts.

Coordination & Collaboration

  • Work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics teams to ensure timely product availability.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to align merchandising strategies with sales targets.
  • Coordinate with the marketing department to develop promotional campaigns.

Operational

  • Ensure compliance with company merchandising standards and industry regulations.
  • Oversee in-store and online merchandising to enhance customer experience.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the line manager.

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field is preferred.

Competencies and Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office tools.
  • Two-wheeler with a valid driving license
