MEAL Officer
Naxa is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an MEAL Officer. The candidate will be responsible for supporting our primarily responsible for establishing and overseeing a functional MEAL system for the project. The individual should possess strong communication skills (both written and verbal), and a drive to work with a tech company that focuses on social good projects.

Job Specifications
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive MEAL framework as per project commitments.
- Design and manage data collection tools and methodologies.
- Regularly monitor project activities and outputs to ensure they align with the project’s goals.
- Conduct baseline and endline assessments to measure the project’s impact.
- Collect and analyze data on key project indicators (KPIs), including but not limited to vulnerability scores, risk assessments, and early warning system effectiveness.
- Prepare and present periodic reports on project progress, findings, and recommendations to the Project Coordinator.
Accountability:
- Establish and maintain a feedback mechanism for project beneficiaries and stakeholders.
- Ensure that all project activities are conducted in a transparent and accountable manner.
- Facilitate community feedback sessions and incorporate feedback into project planning and implementation.
- Develop and maintain a complaints and response mechanism (CRM) to address beneficiary concerns and grievances.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies.
Learning and Capacity Building:
- Promote a culture of continuous learning within the project team and partner organizations.
- Facilitate regular learning and reflection sessions with project staff.
- Organize training workshops for project staff, enumerators, and community members on MEAL-related topics.
- Share best practices and lessons learned with relevant stakeholders.
Data Management:
- Ensure the proper storage, organization, and security of project data.
- Regularly update and maintain the project’s database.
- Support data analysis and visualization to inform decision-making.
Coordination and Reporting:
- Collaborate with project partners, local government officials, and other stakeholders on MEAL-related activities.
- Assist in the preparation of donor reports, including progress updates and impact assessments.
- Represent the project in MEAL-related meetings and forums.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, International Development, Statistics, or a related discipline).
- 2-3 years of proven experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning within the context of development or disaster preparedness projects.
- Strong analytical and data management skills, including proficiency in statistical analysis software.
- Strong Microsoft Office experience.
- Experience with data collection and analysis tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary team.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Familiarity with disaster risk reduction and early warning systems is a plus.
