Position: Medical Centre Assistant
Location: Dharan
The Gurkha Welfare Trust Nepal is the field arm of The Gurkha Welfare Trust UK, a registered charitable Trust working, particularly for the ex-Gurkha Veterans and their communities across
Nepal. It is a charitable institution that was established and registered in the UK in 1969.
We are currently seeking applications from qualified and committed individuals for the position of Medical Centre Assistant (MCA), based at our Area Welfare Centre (AWC) Dharan.
1. Required Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
- Minimum Qualification of PCL Nursing/ Health Assistant with at least 1-year relevant work experience in a health care environment.
- Alternatively, ANM / CMA with at least 5 years relevant work experience.
- Current unrestricted registration with the appropriate Nepal Health Professional Council.
- Basic spoken and good written communication skills in English and native speaker level Nepali.
- Sound IT skills (basic Excel, Word, PowerPoint as a minimum).
- Working knowledge and application of relevant Country legislation governing medical practice.
2. Key Responsibilities:
The GWT(N) Medical Centre Assistant performs routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the Medical Centre running smoothly.

3. Renumeration and Contract:
The Medical Centre Assistant position falls in EG2L1 in our pay structure, with a basic monthly salary of NPR 57,637.
All other benefits and facilities will be provided in accordance with GWT(N) Standing Instructions.
The initial contract duration is three years, with the possibility of extension based on organisational needs and individual performance.
