Position: Project Coordinator (Policy Advocacy)
NEEDS Nepal is a non-profit, non-governmental social organization that has been actively working in the social sector for the past 27 years. The organization was established in 1999 as a youth group and has since then engaged in various social transformation, good governance, and development initiatives. NEEDS Nepal is registered with the Government of Nepal. It has partnered with numerous governments, I/NOGs, and bilateral agencies to implement programs that focus on empowerment, socio-economic development, safe shelter and social transformation for marginalized and vulnerable communities such as children, women, youths, persons with disabilities, Dalits, Janajati and other marginalized groups. NEEDS Nepal has four working themes identified through the organizational strategy plan 2024-2028: Social Justice and Rights, Climate & Disaster Resilient Action, Dignified Migration & Livelihood, and Organizational Development.
Project Brief
NEEDS Nepal, in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Nepal, is implementing the Surakshit Awash Program (SASWIN, SAFER and SABAL projects) in Kanchanpur district, Sudurpashchim province Nepal. The project aims to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable communities by promoting safe housing, disaster risk reduction (DRR), climate resilience, and inclusive community development. The SASWIN project focuses on strengthening policy and legal frameworks, enhancing institutional capacity, promoting evidence-based advocacy, and facilitating collaboration among provincial and local governments to improve access to land and housing rights. The project is being implemented in Bedkot Municipality and Shuklaphanta Municipality of Kanchanpur District. In this context, NEEDS Nepal has announced a vacancy notice for the position of Project Coordinator (Policy Advocacy). The detailed job description can be accessed through the link.
