Salary: NPR 100,000 – 120,000/month + benefits

Required Qualifications & Experience

Master’s degree in public health, community medicine, or related health/social development field (MPH, MBBS-MD, MBBS-MPH, MPA, MS) with 8+ years of relevant project/program management experience in Nepal
OR
PhD with 4+ years of relevant experience in project/program development and management in Nepal
Strong track record in program strategy, project cycle management, proposal development, M&E, and reporting
Solid experience working within Nepal’s health/social development sectors and government coordination structures (federal, provincial, local)
Skills in grant writing, NHRC ethical approval processes, and research/publication
Budget monitoring, financial analysis, and donor compliance skills
Experience supervising and mentoring teams
Strong communication and writing skills in English and Nepali
Willingness to travel regularly across project areas
Commitment to NIRI’s values, Code of Conduct, and safeguarding standards

Key Responsibilities

Lead multiple projects/programs — planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, learning, and reporting
Develop project concepts and write grant proposals for donor agencies
Strengthen program quality through evidence generation, research, and field monitoring
Coordinate with partners and manage resource mobilization and proposal development
Oversee project budgets, compliance, and safeguarding in coordination with the finance/operations team
Supervise and mentor project staff
Represent NIRI at stakeholder meetings and lead technical reports, policy briefs, and journal publications
Maintain regular coordination with stakeholders and the Center Director/Advisor
Build and maintain strong working relationships with government counterparts
