Job Summary:

The candidate should have knowledge of EFT Switch/ATM Acquiring/Debit, Credit, Prepaid, and Virtual Card/POS-ecommerce Acquiring and other modes of digital payments. Furthermore, the position must maintain sound knowledge of industry trends, technology, business processes, and interact with business units and vendors to identify needs and requirements to design solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expert knowledge of EFT Switch/ATM Acquiring/Debit, Credit, Prepaid and Virtual Card/POS-ecommerce Acquiring and other modes of digital payments (functional knowledge and exposure).
  • Card issuance cycle for Debit, Credit, Prepaid, Virtual Cards, EMV and Contactless.
  • Terminal driving for ATM’s, POS and network certifications.
  • Implement upgrades or change requests to the EFT Switch, ATMs, POS, ecommerce, card schemes for performance, security or business requirements.
  • Test and implement Business Continuity plans for EFT Switch, ATMs, POS, ecommerce, card schemes and other digital payment channels.
  • Well experienced with ISO 8583 message formats.
  • Familiar with Visa/MasterCard/UPI and other Payment Network technical system procedures.
  • APIs Standards: Implement security measures and authentication protocols to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data transmitted through APIs.
  • Card and Digital Payment Project delivery.
  • Good Knowledge of ACS, 3DS, QR Payments, Wallets, Cips, Kiosk, CDM, Recyclers, UPI, Mobile Banking and other industry associated Networks.
  • Requirement gathering from internal/external stake holders.
  • Gap analysis and solution design.
  • Manage technical support for the Card Switch and the devices connected to the Card switch.
  • Monitor the performance of the Card Switch, ATMs, POS Terminals and payment channels to ensure smooth running of these systems.
  • Good Knowledge of system administration (Linux/ AIX and Windows) and database (oracle, PostgreSQL and SQL Server databases including SQL queries).
  • Understanding of Web Services, XML, Message Queue, financial messaging will be an advantage.
  • Should have sound knowledge of card and digital channels end to end reconciliation, reporting tools, BIs, Network administration, Server Management.

Required Job Knowledge and Competencies:

  • Ability to adopt a flexible approach and working practices/culture of the Bank.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to work.
  • Ability to organize workloads and work independently towards the completion of tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and initiatives.

Prerequisites for applying:

  • Minimum 2.5 CGPA or 2nd Division in Bachelor’s degree (Preferably Master’s Degree) in Management/ Computer Science/ Information Management, or Engineering
  • Age not exceeding 40 years as of 29th January 2025.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant filed (EFT Switch, Payment Network, Card and Digital Payment Operations, Reporting Tools)

Other Eligibility Criteria:

  • In case of any educational qualification from foreign Universities /institutions, equivalence certificate from competent authority of Nepal is a must.
  • Candidate applying for any above position must be willing to work anywhere in Nepal as per the Bank’s requirement.

All candidates must be proficient in written/spoken Nepali and English language and be computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office applications. Candidates are expected to have smart and pleasant personality, be articulate with superior interpersonal skills and desire to excel. The candidates must have positive attitude and be a team player but be able to work independently and take initiatives.
