JOB OVERVIEW

The position holder is responsible for ensuring IT related compliance with relevant laws, regulations and company policies while also managing and mitigating risks relating to IT. This position involves analyzing and assessing IT systems, procedures to identify gaps and potential risks and accordingly develop strategies to minimize/eliminate them.
Department: IT Department
Project Location(s): Quest Marketing Office, Kathmandu
Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or similar field

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement risk management policies, strategies and control.
  • Ensure proper execution and adherence to IT policies in overall company.
  • Perform IT audit in departments wherever and whenever necessary to identify gaps.
  • Periodically assess IT systems, applications and procedures in overall company to ensure adherence with relevant regulations.
  • Monitor and evaluate compliance with data protection, privacy and information security.
  • Investigate and resolve compliance issues and violations.
  • Stay updated with latest developments in IT risk and compliance laws and regulations.
  • Recommend good practices in terms of compliance related matters.
  • Ensure technical operations are working smoothly in the designated working station.
  • Ensure all infrastructure, security, software related issues are timely addressed.
  • Guide and develop subordinates in field of risk and compliance.
  • Provide inter/intra department training in areas of IT risk and compliance.
  • Maintain timely coordination and communication with the inter station technical team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

WORK EXPERIENCES

  • Minimum 3-5 years in IT if Bachelor’s level/Minimum 1-3 years in IT if Master’s level.
  • Preferable with experience of ISMS certification and implementation.

  • Effective English writing and speaking skill
  • Documentation
  • Good interpersonal skill
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skill

LANGUAGE

  • Proficient in English language
