Okhaldhunga Community Hospital (OCH) is a project of United Mission to Nepal Medical and Development Trust (UMN MDT), working in communities for the health, education, and self-reliance of those living in poverty in Nepal, carrying out other social service work for the public good.
It is a 50-bed general hospital east of Kathmandu providing quality and affordable healthcare to the people of Okhaldhunga and surrounding districts.
The hospital has been running a Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) project in Okhaldhunga since 2020 whose goal is to transform Okhaldhunga into a disability-inclusive society to enable people with disabilities and their families to experience fullness of life through their inclusion in, participation and contribution to society.
OCH is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a Community Physiotherapist
Position: Community Physiotherapist (Grade level 8)
Required No: 1
Main Role:
Contribute to the CBR project goal of improving access to health of people with disabilities by providing a Primary Rehabilitation Therapy (PRT) service, delivering formal and informal PRT training to CBR project staff and community, and by providing health education/disability prevention information and training.
Qualification:
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy from a recognised university with Nepal Health Professional Council (NHPC) registration.
Essential Experience:
- Minimum two years physiotherapy work experience in hospital/clinic/community.
Preferred Experience:
- Knowledge of CBR/Disability Inclusive Development and disability situation in Nepal.
