Our Sansar are looking for an Outreach Officer to join our End to Child Labour and Careers Counselling Projects in Rautahat.
Role Description:
We are looking for the Outreach Officer to join us in Rautahat to assist with the expansion of our Careers Counselling project. The Outreach Officer will work closely with our Education Coordinator to assist as many children in choosing their future career paths as possible.
We welcome candidates from all backgrounds who have transferable skills – this could be education, training, agriculture, social enterprise, community outreach. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is a strong communicator and has some experience working with local communities in Madhesh Pradesh.
Responsibilities:
- Liaising with schools, parents, students
- Finding skilled professionals and organising career workshops for our students with those professionals
- Assisting with organising monthly parents meetings
- Assisting with community training sessions
- Assisting with any other tasks agreed with the Education Coordinator
- Conduct community surveys and record all the finding accurately
- Prepare monthly progress reports
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work independently and as a part of a team
- Experience in field work, education, training, social enterprise or other relevant sectors
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills
- Experience working with children/communities from different backgrounds will be a big advantage
- Solid working knowledge of written and spoken English
- Good IT skills – Excel, Word, Google Drive
- Passion for charity work
- Flexibility
- Two wheeler licence is a must
- Knowledge of Bajika, Bhojpuri or Maithili will be a huge advantage
Starting salary 25,000Rs increasing to 30,000Rs after passing the 3 months probation period, accommodation, health insurance provided. There will be opportunities to grow within the organisation for the right candidates.
